Mount Abram is a small family ski and mountain bike area located a few miles outside of Bethel, Maine. It has 1,150 feet (350 m) of vertical drop, with five lifts servicing 10 easy, 21 Intermediate, and 13 expert trails.

All trips are exclusive (meaning only your party) and each trip is customizable to your interests. If you have someone who would simply like to go along and not fish they are welcome. Don will make an effort to make the trip just as much fun for them as it will be for you. Trips are 3 or 6 hours and start times can be selected when you make the reservation.

We (currently) own 3 beautiful forestland properties across the state, in Somerset, Penobscot, and Cumberland Counties. We are slowly and intentionally building out small, low-impact glampsites on each property. 2023 was our first official year of operations, and really only a soft opening season with a few visitors. Most glampsites will have a screened in gazebo, full kitchen (with running hot water), solar, bell tent, composting outhouse and shower. Some sites will be smaller footprints, based on the nature of the land. As we slowly get up and running, we will be up on Hipcamp. Until then it’s friends and family reservations and IG DMs.

The Maine Outsider is a free, curated newsletter featuring outdoor events around the state. To date, I’ve published 54 issues featuring 471 events from 145 different organizations. I’ve even featured a few MOB events and countless member events. I do it because it’s fun to make, it makes it easier for others to get outside, and it promotes organizations doing great work.
