WHAT: Maine is one of four states to be featured in the Switchback State Showcases, a string of booths hosted by the outdoor business alliances of Maine, Michigan, Oregon and Vermont at Switchback Spring. Maine Outdoor Brands (MOB) will showcase standout Maine-based companies whose products reflect the state’s deep legacy of craftsmanship, sustainability and outdoor innovation. The showcases were developed in partnership with the State Outdoor Business Alliance Network (SOBAN), a national coalition of 24 state outdoor business alliances, which will also hold a membership convening at Switchback Spring.
WHEN: June 16-18
WHERE: Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, La.
WHY: Maine is home to more than 90 outdoor product companies, ranging from globally recognized brands to small-batch makers. The state ranks sixth in the country for the economic value outdoor recreation contributes. MOB, in partnership with the Maine Office of Outdoor Recreation and the Maine International Trade Center, invites the media to visit MOB at Booth #221 to meet the founders, explore product lines and hear the stories behind some of the most exciting brands coming out of Maine.
Featured Maine brands include:
