The Maine Island Trail is a 375-mile water trail for boaters that extends the length of the Maine coast. A recreational water trail, it connects over 250 wild islands and mainland sites that are open for day use or overnight camping.

Kindling Collective is a queer-centered gear library creating an accessible pathway to outdoor experiences in Maine (Wabanaki Confederacy Territory). We aim to build community and support folks in the greater Portland area in building and sustaining relationships with the natural world. Kindling Collective will be a space where members can check out the gear they need for camping, hiking, and backpacking adventures. We will offer outdoor classes, guided trips, and office hours for trip planning. Library patrons will pay an income-based, sliding-scale member fee which will provide access to gear checkout, discounted classes and trips, and trip planning/gear repair open-library hours.

Tekto is a designer and producer of tactical knives. Based out of Maine, Tekto carries a variety of folding, automatic and fixed blades.

The Maine Trails Coalition (MTC) was formed in 2019 to be a statewide voice for trail users, supporters, and advocates. With trails serving as a major component of the outdoor recreation economy in Maine, we believe a statewide group dedicated to advancing the trails movement will benefit the communities and people who live, work, visit, and play all across the state.

Hearty Roots is an esteem-building outdoor adventure program led by professional counselors & educators who also happen to be backcountry gurus.

The idea for hüga came to be in the COVID Fall of 2020, when spending time outside was the only way to see the people we love. We being Jocelyn and Colin and our extended brainstorming team—our kids, folks and friends who keep us laughing.

We pride ourself on being the top camper van RV rental experience in the northeast! Our vans are off-grid, all season, and off-road designed. Renting our camper vans allows visitors to experience our great wilderness more freely than other alternatives while providing a sense of comfort and security.

HIOBS serves middle school, high school, gap year, and college students, as well as adults looking for wilderness adventure and Veterans from our Armed Forces.

Pine Tree Camp is Maine’s only American Camp Association-accredited camp for people with disabilities. Located on scenic North Pond, Pine Tree Camp provides a full range of programming for children, adults, and families. Opportunities range from day-long experiences on- and off-campus to week-long overnight sessions and feature many of the outdoor activities for which Maine is known, including boating, kayaking, hiking on fully accessible trails, swimming, archery and even tenting under the open stars. Full and partial tuition assistance is available. Pine Tree Camp has never turned away a camper due to inability to pay tuition.

Kids, parents, and grandparents will be at ease on a trip with Maine Outdoors, experience this beautiful place while having fun. Don can make accommodations for various learning styles and accessibility needs, so every member of the family can fully experience the Maine outdoors during your private, custom experience. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, Don will ensure your success with helpful suggestions, knowledge of the area, the wildlife, and the environment. Don uses a 20-foot Lund Alaskan and each trip includes fishing gear, bait, and life jackets. If you’d like to use your own gear, bring it along!

All trips are exclusive (meaning only your party) and each trip is customizable to your interests. If you have someone who would simply like to go along and not fish they are welcome. Don will make an effort to make the trip just as much fun for them as it will be for you. Trips are 3 or 6 hours and start times can be selected when you make the reservation.
