We’re are very excited to announce this new role for Maine Fly Company as of late fall 2024. We have a lot of exciting things in store for 2025!
The primary responsibility for this new position is to act as an initial support to the MFC team and its community for marketing, customer experience, administrative, the coordination of company events, education, programs and community partners. This position will report directly to the owner and will take place at our headquarters in Yarmouth, Maine. Following onboarding, this position will also complete a fly rod building apprenticeship and can have some rod building duties upon the successful completion of the apprenticeship when needed.
This position is a 20/25 hr a/week position with a work schedule on the company’s operational days.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Company program support; events, program and education
- Email marketing content and formation
- Inventory management
- Team Administrative Support
- Coordinate team activities and outings
- Website packaging & shipping
- Retail Support
- Team Communications
- Copy Writing and Grant Writing Support
- Social Media, Email Marketing, Event and Promotion Calendar management

Qualifications and Skills:
- Some documented foundational marketing skills: email, social, events, programing
- Strong organizational skills
- Some fly fishing IQ is preferred
- Social, friendly, outgoing, professional demeanor
- Well written
- Punctual
- Confirmed responsible job history
Starting Salary & Benefits:
