Maine Outdoor Brands Launches Online Storefront Highlighting Local Makers

PORTLAND, Maine (October 31, 2025) — Maine Outdoor Brands (MOB) is proud to announce the launch of the MOB Web Shop — an online marketplace featuring a curated selection of products from Maine-based outdoor brands. The MOB Web Shop brings together more than 25 member brands and nearly 200 products ranging from technical gear and trail-ready apparel to artisan food, home goods, and outdoor-inspired art.

Now live at maineoutdoorbrands.shop, the MOB Web Shop offers a new way for consumers to discover and support Maine’s thriving outdoor business community—all in one place. The shop celebrates the innovation, values, and stories behind Maine’s outdoor entrepreneurs. A portion of every sale from the MOB Web Shop directly supports Maine Outdoor Brands’ work to connect, grow, and champion outdoor businesses across the state.

“The MOB Web Shop creates a new digital sales channel for member companies, introduces them to a wider audience of outdoor enthusiasts and conscious consumers, and establishes a new revenue stream to help fund MOB’s ongoing programs—supporting not only the brands featured in the shop but all of MOB’s 200+ members statewide,” said Jenny Kordick, Executive Director of Maine Outdoor Brands. “We’re continuing to double down on our charge to elevate Maine-based outdoor entrepreneurs, strengthen the state’s economic resilience, and help consumers connect with the stories and people behind the gear they trust.”

“I’m thrilled to be included in the MOB Web Shop alongside so many other great Maine-based brands,” said Erin O’Toole, founder of Biddeford-based Oterra Designs. “I think it’s going to be an excellent way for people to discover the broad range of products and services that MOB members have to offer, and hopefully encourage them to shop local and support our outdoor community.”

The MOB Web Shop builds upon the MOB Shop initiative that launched earlier this year, a retail store initiative that spotlights outdoor gear and apparel companies based in Maine. In-store shoppers can find curated MOB signage and displays featuring Maine-based brands, helping connect local makers with outdoor lovers across the region.

Local retail brick and mortars with in-store MOB shops include: Nomads (Portland), REI (Westbrook and North Conway), Maine Sport Outfitters (Rockport and Rockland), Cadillac Mountain Sports (Ellsworth), and Rangeley Adventure Company (Rangeley).

To further celebrate this initiative, MOB also collaborated with a short list of member brands on limited-edition, MOB-branded products—available exclusively on the Web Shop.
